TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATOR- Township of Hamilton (Atlantic County)

Population of 26,500, $28 million budget, 150 employees, 113 square miles, Township Committee form of government with 5 elected officials (staggered terms). Seeks experienced, motivated professional with a minimum of 5 years New Jersey municipal government management experience preferred, to oversee all daily operations of a large, full-service municipality, including: budget, human relations, labor management, special projects, etc. Experience in a similarly sized municipality preferred. Experience in redevelopment and rehabilitation strongly desired. Must have excellent oral, written and computer skills. Must be able to proficiently manage and meet multiple deadlines as assigned by the Governing Body. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective communication with elected officials, employees, professionals, and volunteers. Experience in working cohesively with NJ State government agencies and Pinelands Commission a plus. BA required; MBA preferred. A candidate with an Associate degree will be considered if they have 9 years of NJ municipal government management experience.

Salary range $130,000-$160,000 DOE/DOQ

TOWNSHIP FIRE ADMINISTRATOR - -

The Twp. of Hamilton in Atlantic County is seeking a Part-Time Township Fire Administrator. This position is responsible for the organization and direction of the volunteer fire departments in order to promote continuity of service, create fiscal efficiencies, and foster effective operational relationships. The individual hired for the position will be responsible for developing and implementing firefighting policies and procedures, recruiting, training, and orienting new volunteer firefighters, overseeing yearly inspections and maintenances, completing administrative tasks, and performing other related duties as required.

 

Five plus years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in fire and life safety education, prevention, and emergency response work.  Must have held the position of Chief Fire officer (i.e. Assistant, Battalion or Deputy) in the State of New Jersey for a minimum of five years.  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Fire Science preferred.
