The Tax Collector's office is responsible for the collection of property tax payments.  Your payment includes not only a payment for the local Municipal Tax but County Tax, County Library Tax, County Health Tax, County Open Space Tax, District School Tax and Regional School Tax as well.  The breakdown of each tax is shown on the upper portion of your tax bill each year.

The payments are due quarterly - February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1.  There is a ten day grace period given for each installment.  Postmark is not accepted as a payment date, but rather when the payment is received in the office.

Tax Sale for delinquent property owners is held once a year, normally February-March, and is advertised for four weeks prior to the sale date in the Atlantic County Record.  If you would like a copy of the list of delinquent properties, please put your request in writing in January of every year, along with a self addressed stamped envelope.

Lien Redemptions must take place through the Tax Collector's office.  All payments for redemptions must be in the form of a certified check or money order and only by a party of interest.  When requesting redemption figures, please have the date available when the payment will be in the office.
