PLANNING AND ZONING

The Planning and Zoning Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Township's Land Use & Development Ordinance (Chapter 203 of the Code of the Township of Hamilton).  The Land Use & Development Ordinance was adopted by the Township in 1983 and subsequently certified as being consistent with the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan by the New Jersey Pinelands Commission.  The ordinance sets forth all of the Townships rules and regulations governing; zoning requirements, subdivision and site plan standards, administrative procedures and fees, design standards and enforcement penalties.

The Department is divided into three agencies; Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment and Zoning Enforcement.  Additional infomration about each of these agencies is available by clicking on the appropriate link below.
